I help people who already have a WordPress website — or need a straightforward new one — and want something that’s stable, clear, and easy to manage.
No unnecessary rebuilds.
No design theatre.
Just practical WordPress work done properly.
🟦 What I do
I provide practical WordPress support for people who want their site to work reliably without constant tinkering.
Most of my work involves keeping long-running WordPress sites healthy and manageable, including:
- Keeping established sites stable as they evolve
- Improving existing WordPress sites
- Cleaning up sites that feel cluttered or fragile
- Reviewing plugins and themes, and removing what isn’t helping
- Improving site structure, menus, and navigation
- Fixing issues caused by updates, plugins, or hosting changes
- Sorting out SEO basics (indexing, duplicates, old pages)
- Improving performance and load times
If your site technically works but doesn’t feel right, that’s usually where I come in.
🟦 How I work
I take a careful, straightforward approach.
Before changing anything, I:
- make sure proper backups or host snapshots are in place
- look at how the site is actually being used
- identify what’s genuinely causing problems
- focus on changes that are low-risk and worthwhile
Changes are kept small, sensible, and reversible.
If something doesn’t need doing, I’ll say so.
The aim is always the same: a site that’s easier to manage, more reliable, and less stressful to own.
🟦 New WordPress sites
I also set up basic WordPress websites for people who want something clean, professional, and easy to update.
I don’t offer bespoke design.
Instead, I use proven themes and layouts that work well across devices and don’t need constant attention.
New sites include:
- clear page structure
- sensible URLs and basic SEO setup
- a site that’s easy to manage after handover
These sites are typically:
- around 4–5 pages
- clearly structured
- straightforward to update
This suits small businesses, charities, and individuals who want a solid site without overcomplicating things.
🟦 Experience
I’ve worked with WordPress for over a decade, building new sites and maintaining long-running ones.
That experience includes:
- Working with sites that already have a lot of content
- Untangling problems caused by years of plugins and tweaks
- Dealing with hosting, PHP, and update-related issues
- Improving internal linking and content structure
- Keeping sites stable rather than constantly changing them
I’m comfortable taking responsibility for sites that already have some history behind them.
🟦 Services & rates
I’m open and straightforward about pricing.
- Ad-hoc WordPress help: £60 per hour
(small fixes, advice, troubleshooting) - WordPress clean-ups & health checks: £300–£1,000
(plugin tidy-ups, structure, SEO basics, performance) - New WordPress site (up to 5 pages): £600–£900
(clean setup using a proven theme, no bespoke design) - Ongoing WordPress care: £100–£200 per month
(updates, monitoring, small fixes)
I don’t itemise tasks or sell feature-heavy packages.
You’re paying for assessment, experience, and fewer mistakes.
An initial chat is free (15–20 minutes).
If a site needs a proper look, that time is charged at my hourly rate.
🟦 FAQ
Will you break my site?
No. I don’t make changes without backups in place, and I work carefully.
Do you redesign websites?
No. I focus on structure, stability, and clarity rather than bespoke design.
Can you help if I’m not sure what’s wrong?
Yes. That’s very common. I’ll explain what’s worth fixing — and what isn’t.
Do you work with small sites?
Yes. Most of my work is with small organisations and individuals.
Do I need ongoing support?
Not necessarily. Some people just need a clean-up or advice. Ongoing care is optional.
Are you based in Belfast?
Yes. I’m based in Belfast and work both locally and remotely.
